Privacy policy
Last updated September 7, 2026
The short version. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no advertising or tracking of any kind. Loading a page here contacts no other company at all — not for fonts, not for images, not for anything. We do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing to sell to anybody because we do not collect anything.
This policy covers honeybearkatherine.com. It is operated by Katherine L. Carter, referred to here as "we".
What we collect directly
Nothing, unless you send it to us. There are no accounts, no logins, no newsletter sign-up, and no forms that run in the background.
If you email us or use the contact form, we receive what you chose to send: your name, your email address, and your message. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass it on.
Cookies and storage
This site sets no cookies. It does not use local storage, session storage, fingerprinting, pixels, beacons, or any similar technology. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Note that a video player, once you press play, may set cookies of its own. That is covered below.
Analytics
There are none. We do not use Google Analytics or any comparable service, so we cannot tell you how many people read a given article, and we are content with that trade. On a site that carries domestic abuse resources, not keeping a record of who read what is worth more than knowing.
Search
The search page runs entirely inside your browser. The index is downloaded with the page and queried on your own device, so what you type is never sent to this site or to anyone else, and no record of it exists anywhere.
Who else is involved
Most websites quietly contact a dozen other companies before you have read a sentence. This one contacts none. Typefaces are served from this site rather than from Google, and episode thumbnails are stored here rather than loaded from YouTube, so no outside company learns that you opened a page.
Two exceptions exist, and both are things you have to choose.
Vercel — hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any web host, their servers process your IP address and basic request information in order to deliver the page, and keep short-term operational logs for security and reliability. We do not have access to a per-visitor record of who read what.
YouTube — only if you press play
Episode pages show a still image and a play button, both served from this site. Nothing reaches YouTube until you click it. If you never press play, Google never learns you were there.
Once you do press play, the player loads and YouTube's own terms apply. Google may then set cookies and collect data as described in Google's privacy policy. That is between you and Google; we receive nothing from it. You can always watch on YouTube directly instead.
If you use the contact form
Where a contact form is available, it is delivered by Web3Forms, which forwards your message to our email and does not require an account. Your message passes through their systems in transit. If you would rather avoid that, email hbkgrandpavilion@gmail.com directly.
Links that leave this site
When you follow a link to YouTube, Amazon, RYZE, Cash App, a crisis organisation, or anywhere else, you are on their site under their policy. Affiliate links may set their own cookies to attribute a purchase — see the disclaimer for which links those are.
Your rights
Privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act and the UK and EU GDPR give people rights to access, correct, delete, and port their personal information, and to object to its processing.
Those rights are straightforward here: the only personal information we hold is correspondence you chose to send us. Ask us to delete it and we will, and confirm when it is done. We have no other records to produce.
We have never sold or shared personal information for advertising or any other purpose, and we do not intend to. There is no "do not sell my information" mechanism on this site because there is nothing that would need one.
Children
This site deals with adult relationships and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
Correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for the conversation it belongs to, and then deleted. No system is perfectly secure, and email in particular should not be treated as confidential. If your situation is sensitive, please contact one of the organisations on the resources page rather than emailing us — they are equipped for it and we are not.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site rather than quietly editing.
Contact
